Hey all!

Keeping with the funky schedule we are meeting AGAIN this Friday. Kari and Tim will bring pulled pork for the adults and Heather will bring an entree for the kiddos.

A couple special things for this Friday:
We will be doing a white elephant gift exchange in place of our usual conversation. The only gift rules are 1. It HAS to be something from your house 2. It has to be wrapped and 3. Each person needs to bring their own present (no couple gifts).

Also Ugly sweaters are highly encouraged, even semi-required I would say.

Bring 5$ for the babysitters, and comment below what you are bringing to round out the meal. And. E sure to let us know if you're not going to make it so we can cry and then adjust the meal planning accordingly.

Fruit
Dessert

Hey group,

We will be gathering again Friday after the long break. As per usual remember to bring 5$ for the babysitters.

The adults will be having Hawaiian chicken and white rice and the kiddos will have chicken nuggets and fries. To round out the meal consider bringing:

Steamed veggies for kiddos
Green salad
Fruit salad
Dessert

Hey all,

Now that our families seem to be less germ infested we will be gather again for tacos. The Kirkbride's will be providing meat and tortillas and Spanish rice, to round out the meal consider bringing:

Lettuce
Sour cream
Shredded cheese
Cilantro
Olives
Green onions
Olives
Diced tomatoes
Dessert
Or whatever else you like on your tacos


This week we will have a service project for the kiddos where they will be sending some candy and thank you cards to our service men and women. So have your tiny roommates bring their left over Halloween candy (or if you want to avoid a stage 5 meltdown go buy some). All crafty materials will be provided.

Also remember to bring 5$ for the babysitters!

Off-Week Prayer Requests

Katrina: your sister and niece and nephew, that God would be at work maneuvering situations so the kids are in the best place that God has for them. For strength for Katrina and Chris as they come alongside them and to seek gods council in their decisions. 

Chris and heather: for Neveah and her family, and specifically her mom. For the Clayton kids to have open hearts for serving in their home even when it's hard.

Jennifer and Wesley: to have a fantastic time on vacation. Smooth travels, good health, and that God would bless their time together.

Brandon and Kayla: for Brandon lungs to heal. For Kayla to start turning to God through prayer and praise during moments of frustration in parenting during the day.

Looking forward to another evening together this Friday. We will be enjoying the hospitality of the Kitkbride's from 6-8. The group consensus has been to have designated babysitters for childcare which will allow all members of the group to participate in discussion. Please bring 5$ cash, per family for the babysitters.

9/2/16: First Meeting

Hi All,

What a fun gathering last night! It was so lovely to be able to put faces to names and enjoy a meal while getting to know one another. Thank you so much to the Kirkbrides for hosting us and all our kiddos. 

If you are reading this, than you have found our group blog! I will post early in the week with general information pertaining to our next meeting. Including, what entree we will be enjoying, a list of things everyone can contribute to round out the meal, reiterate any announcements we have and a reminder of prayer requests.

Save the blog link in your "favorites" and it will be an easy portal we can all access to share information.
